Admission Procedures, Changing Membership Information, and Viewing Annual Dues

Admission Procedures

Any researcher of economic systems may be admitted to membership upon the recommendation of two members (Article 4 of the Association’s Statutes). Foreign members are also welcome. However, membership is subject to approval at the General Membership Meeting held on the occasion of the annual convention. The annual membership fee is 10,000 yen (4,000 yen for graduate students and members over 71 years of age).

Application for Membership by E-mail
Those who wish to apply for membership should fill out the downloaded application form, attach it to an e-mail, and send it to the Secretariat. Also, please ask two recommenders to notify our Secretariat of their acceptance of the recommendation by e-mail or postal mail.

Application for Membership by Mail
To apply for membership, please download and print the application form, fill it out, and mail it to our Secretariat. Please include the names and affiliations of two persons recommending you for membership. Also, please ask your recommenders to send a confirmation of their willingness to recommend you to our Secretariat by e-mail or postal mail.

Changing Membership Information and Viewing Annual Dues

Click on “Change Registration Information/View Annual Dues” below and enter your 10-digit membership number beginning with 772 and your password to log in. To find your membership number, please check the printout of your annual membership fee invoice or contact the ASAS below. The membership period is from April of each year to March of the following year.

Please note that membership numbers, membership types, and names (in Kanji, Kana, or Roman characters) cannot be changed. If you change your membership type, change your family name, or make a mistake in your name, please notify us in writing (e-mail, fax, etc.) at the following address.
